Annual Garden Tour 2016

Annual Garden Tour 2016

Molly and I had a great day today. We started out by picking peaches at Taylor’s Orchard Farms in Gentry, Arkansas. Then we went on the Home Gardens Tour in Northwest Arkansas. All the homes were in Fayetteville this year. We saw some amazing gardens and found several new plants we want to add to our little gardens here at Chez Willmere. We are trying to think of a “name” for our gardens. We haven’t agreed on one yet, but will definitely share that when we come to a decision. Here are some of the best pictures from today.

No clue what these are but there were lots of bees buzzing around them. I didn’t get a good picture on the bees on this flower, but I did later on another purple flower.

These are the coolest Allium flowers I think I have ever seen!

Another water feature – there were actually a couple of small Koi in there, but they disappeared when I took the picture. They were shy I guess!
_DSC3911
The wildest Asiatic Lilies I’ve seen in a long time! I want to find the kind and see if we can get some.

This arrangement was interesting because the red and yellow “mother-in-law tongue” looking things were actually glass.

Solomon’s Seal – I want to get some of these for our gardens also.

No clue what these plants are, but I love the colors together. The dark purple, bright purple, and the neon green look beautiful together.

More purple and green

This bee was hungry for some purple flower pollen! There were quite a few hovering around these flowers.

The largest Bleeding Heart plant I have ever seen!!

Very neat looking potting “shed” made from reclaimed wood. If we ever have a big enough yard, it would be nice to have something like this.

Very interesting idea for a planter – love it!

More beautiful Hydrangeas and a little status.

Me hanging with the Hydrangeas. They always make me think of my Grandma Romere as she had gorgeous ones in her yard. I love it when they have blue and pink on the same bush.

Stunning Gladiolas – I think I must have some!!
