<\/a><\/p>\nWe didn’t get to see any of them flying around the day we were there, but this hole was the home for the baby condors that hatched earlier this year. When they left the nest at a few months old, their wing span was already nine feet wide!! The picture immediately following is a wide-angle shot showing the nest in the middle. The next one is a close-up shot of the nest.<\/p>\n In this picture, you can see a small part of the Colorado River, which is responsible for creating The Grand Canyon.<\/p>\n This little guy was flying all over the place, but we managed to get a picture of him soaring high above the beauty of the canyon. There were quite a few ravens flying around and doing acrobatics.<\/p>\n We had some visitors while we were driving around the rim of the canyon. There were three or four either very young deer or or does as none of them had any antlers. They didn’t seem to be too terribly afraid of all the people walking around nor the cars passing by.<\/p>\n Check out the size of this one’s ears!!<\/p>\n I have always been drawn to raggedy looking dead trees. I have no idea why, except they are all different. There are no two dead trees that look alike. I guess they are kind of like snowflakes in that regard.
